thank you so much! this is our favorite podcast so far, because it gives us a checklist on various topics on which to work on when practising, training and exercising for ourselves at home. it´s of little use to rehearse only the new moves and figures learned at workshops. with this evaluation points we can also work on general improvements. On metronome – I play music (mostly jazz – on amateur level) – I practice a lot with just drums – there is an app called DrumGenius – with a lot of swing patterns that can be used for practice. Connecting with drums is paramount in jazz – I presume it is even more important in dancing. The advantage of drums alone vs e.g. backup tracks is that you can stop and resume your solo (or dance routine) at any point – no need to rewind the track. Eventually I play along the backup track (or record my own backup) but first step is with drums only.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the app recommendation. I use Pro Metronome for all my beat needs, but I’ll check yours out too.
